So what they are saying is that their best
mpg vehicle only get's 30mpg. No wonder they are going out of business. I am 100% behind the american working class, I am one. But there is no way I would ever buy any of their products. If I was ever in the position to buy a new vehicle it would be a Toyota or Honda or Suburu, because they will probably last 10 years or more. Let's face it the worst place that you can find yourself(besides church) is a car dealership. It is hell on earth! It's like making a transaction with the mafia. Bad News! If you could order a vehicle online and pick it up and save thousands of dollars, maybe people would buy more cars. I can't say. This country has burned itself out, and I mean hardcore burnout.
Greed and self preservation and asshead politicians put's us all in the shit house.It's time to swallow that good old american pride and eat the shit sandwich. Did Jesus write anything in the Bible?

I've always wondered if Jesus actually ever wrote down anything in the bible. So I did a little research for myself. It turns out that he never wrote one single word in the entire book. There is no Jesus 3:16. It was all hear-say written at least 30 years after his death. If he did exist(no proof of that), he was suppossedly a pretty smart dude. At 12 he was preaching at the temple. So obviously he could read and write. So we are to believe that 4 men named Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (no last names) wrote all this stuff about a guy they never met. Sound a little out there???

Arlen Specter Becomes a Democrat?

Lifelong republican Arlen Specter announces that he is switching parties and becoming a Democrat. He has been an elected official since 1980 as a reagan republican. He voted for the Barack Obama stimulus package which put him on the outs with the republican party. He would be running against republican nut job pat toomey for re-election in 2010. Toomey is way ahead in the polls, so Specter feels the only way he can compete is be a Democrat. His changing parties would give the Democrats 59 seats in the Senate. When they seat Al Franken it gives Democrats 2/3 vote. total control!!

This just goes to prove that personal gain and position and power is way more important than what is best for the working class people of this country. If changing parties gets us universal health care and decent education I'm for it. They are all in it for themselves. Specter is outspoken against the unions and labor issues......we'll see what happens!

A word on gay clergy....

I saw a headline today that the presbyterian church voted NO to gay clergy again, but the vote was closer. I have to ask why anyone who is GAY would want to be a clergy person in any sort of religious group? With all the oppression that goes into religious organizations already why would you want to be anywhere near a place like that? I can see starting your own religion, renting a building, paying taxes and starting your own alternative congregation. Go for it. I understand you don't want to exclude anyone, that's common sense right? Why put yourself in a position where at least half the crowd hates you and everything you stand for. I'm not sure I understand the point. I thought the bible was against homosexuality, at least that's what the religious nut right says. Again I say, start your own religion, it's easy to come up with a name to put on a sign. That way you can make up the rules anyway you see fit, it all falls under the spell of god right?

Our legally elected new President Barack Obama wants to put in new rail systems across the country. Cincinnati will be a part of the system. I think this is fantastic. Master Sgt. John Hatley was convicted today for the cold blooded murders of four Iraqi detainees. Hatley was sentenced to life in prison for his part in the 2007 murders. The My Lai massacre haunted the Vietnam War and the U.S. Military. It's acts like this that make human beings the world over hate the American Imperial Empire. Well it's finally here, resurrection day for Jesus. It's like when Riff Raff was ready to beam the house back to the planet Transexual in Rocky Horror Picture Show.

If I believed all this hocus pocus I would be relieved at this point. Jesus and all this religious guilt trip would be just a memory. But I don't have any physical evidence to support this psycho drama so I am spared all the lifelong pangs of What If?

Stepping up with prayer......

This sheep to the slaughter Cincinnati tradition of walking up steps to holy cross church in Mt. Adams always cracks me up. Now it's down to 85 steps and 85 prayers. Why do people do it? Got Me! But they do it anyway. Why do people give up "stuff" for lent? Got Me! But they do it anyway. Why do they eat fish on Fridays? Got Me! But they do it anyway. It's that inbreed religious guilt I guess. I know it is a big money maker in popular culture. Why not do all those things year round? Not just at the supposed big holidays. I can almost see walking the steps for a charity. $1.00 per step for military vets, or homeless people or whatever. Anton LaVey called it the herd mentality, I think he was right about that. Iraqi Protesters!!!

Tens of thousands of supporters of Moqtada Sadr rallied against the U.S. presence in Iraq. They also burned an effigy of Dictator George W. Bush. The message from Sadr is.... "God, unite us, return our riches, free the prisoners from the prisons, return sovereignty to our country...make our country free from the occupier and prevent the occupier from stealing our oil." Sounds reasonable to me!!

Notre Dame and God

Some priests at Notre Dame University do not want Barack Obama to give their commencement speech in May because he is pro-choice. Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. gave speeches and they have the blood of 1000's of dead people on their hands, that's ok. The Roman Catholic Church is so hypocritical it's unreal. Muntadhar al-Zeidi (The Boot Guy)

Muntadhar al-Zeidi the awesome dude who threw his boots at village idiot George W. Bush was originally sentenced to three years in prison. His sentence has been reduced to only one year. His lawyer says he will probably serve only five months for good behavior. This guy is a national hero in the Arab world, and also here in Northside. This is considered a huge victory for him and his family and especially his legion of fans. Civil Disobedience gets a thumbs up from me.

I've been thinking about all the bailouts lately. I'm not sure what to think exactly. They bailout Wall Street no problems. Always take care of the rich, that's politics as usual in this country. But when it comes to the working people of the auto industry they fire one CEO and nothing happens to any others. No Wall Street CEO's were fired that I know of ? I've never been in a union before, we fought for one a few years ago but the senior guys took care of that. I have shitty health insurance, the union guys still have pretty decent policies. I always look at it this way about unions: if the companies treat people good there is no need for a union, when the company shits on people a union is needed. Now we are all in the shit house. Why not bail out the people of this ass backwards country. Healthcare sucks, education sucks, the military sucks, it's all crumbling. This country has turned into the very thing it fought against in the Revolutionary War. The Republican Party Sucks. The Democrat Party Sucks. The government throws around billions of dollars like it is chicken feed. Why would anyone want to buy a new house or a new car or take a vacation when they can't afford their monthly bills and all their past due medical bills. I'll be taking my vacation within the I-275 loop again this year. Nothing is getting better! I appreciate what Barack Obama is trying to do. George Bush fucked up this country almost beyond repair. We'll see what Barack can do? I still say we should get the hell out of Iraq and Afghanistan, just like Korea and Vietnam, everyone loses. We have no business in either place. I say send diplomats from the U.N. to all the fucked up places in the world and try to figure it out. No one seems to care that people keep dying everyday for NO CAUSE! It exhaust me!

Oh man , I wish I could be in New York City for this one. A protest on Wall Street. How freakin cool is that? I agree 100%. If you give every american home $50,000 the economy would sky rocket. All working class people would pay off their debts, the money goes right back to the banks. I would fix up my house too and maybe take a vacation for the first time in several years.
